First Robin Nest Design Team Project

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping in today.  I'm very excited to be a part of the Design Team for The Robins Nest over the next while and sharing my creations with you.

I have loved those little Dew Drops since I first saw them and after using them for a while now, I've learned that you can make almost anything with them. From Spiders to flowers, Flourishes to Christmas Stockings and everything in between.

Today I'm sharing with you a card  created using some beautiful The Robins Nest Papers to boot. Did you KNOW that The Robins Nest has papers? Well consider yourself well informed now hehe.

The first photo shows how easy it is to substitute pearls or rhinestones for those wonderful Dew Drops. I created a perfect little line using a ruler and my trusty Helmar Gemstone Glue.  I used the Mini Pink Dew Drops here.

Next you can see I used the little Tear Dew Drops to create beautiful little flowers. I love the shade of turquoise that comes in the Tear Dew Drop Stack.

For the card itself, I've used a few of my favorite The Robins Nest Papers. Perhaps an odd pairing, but I think it works so wonderfully well. The background is the beautiful Classic Glitter Swirl in pink. This pattern comes in quite a few colors and is just perfect for that little bit of glitter. I also used the Glitter Blue Animal print and Silver Fleur De Li papers. I love this combination of pinks, teals and blacks. Very purdy indeed. So here is the finished card

When created a project whether a card, layout or altered piece, don't be afraid to mix papers up that you wouldn't regularly pair together. Sometimes the outcome can be wonderful. Whodda thunk an animal print and Fleur Des-Li's would work so well together???

Well, that is it for me today. Make sure you let me know what you think of my first The Robins Nest project and what types of projects you'd like to see from me in the future using The Robins Nest products.

Don't forget to enter my blog candy too. There will be some wonderful Dew Drops included in it. You can find the blogiversary post HERE

I have been a Michelangelo fan since I was about 4. The work he did is simply breathtaking and when I saw how many Michelangelo stamps I Brake for Stamps had, I was truly in heaven.

HI everyone,I'm here to share with you a card I created with the Michelangelo 2 stamp. I colored the image with a combination of Copics and acrylic paints and I really quite like the outcome. I hope you do too.

To add a little old world "charm", I also added some beautiful metal embellishments from FabScraps and adhered them with some trusty Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. The papers are 7 Gypsies.

Enchanted Wolf Love

Yup, it is true, I'm a Twilight fan. Whether it is team Edward or team Jacob, it really doesn't matter to me. With the countdown started for the new Breaking Dawn film, I thought it was the perfect time to create a card using this amazing Silhouette Coyote stamp from I Brake for Stamps, which I interpreted as a wolf.

Hello everyone, I'm here today to share with you an embossed card I created using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and 2 colors of embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I love this image and the crispness of the silhouette is wonderful. I hope you enjoy it too. So without further adieu...

Here is a close up snot of the image for you to see. The papers, rub-on and chipboard tag are from the new Oct 31st line from Fancy Pants Designs

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I sure appreciate your comments, so don't be afraid to leave one. Also I have a little blog candy going on at this post, so stop there and leave a comment too.

Donna Salazar Guest Designer

Hello Everyone and Happy Day to you all. Today I've got a really exciting post for you with my creations for my Guest Designer Spot for Donna Salazar. I've adored Donnas products for quite some time and when I was asked to be a Guest Designer, I am pretty sure I "Inked". These papers are truly a dream to work with and I hope that my creations inspire you.

I was originally going to create a few cards and an altered project, but after digging in, I just couldn't hold back. Those 3 projects turned into 9!!! Inspiration works like that though doesn't It?? And to say I was inspired by Donnas products would be an understatement.

So here we go. First off the cards I created using the beautiful Spring in Bloom, Antiquities and Artistic Paper lines. The first card uses a little burlap and I've cut out the roses from the Artistic Papers. They are colored with Distress Inks and then a little Fairy Dust Glitter was added for that extra "WOW" (with a name like Fairy Dust, How could a fairy lover resist???)

The second card used the Antiquities collection, that wonderful Artistic Papers and Fairy Dust Glitter again. I jazzed up the one butterfly with a bit of Stickles to make her a little more "unique".

Now onto what was originally, my last project. I used the Crafty Chronicle to create this bangle. Adding some distress ink and Helmar Crackle Medium to really distress it. So So purdy. I really like how this one turned out, however the photos don't do it justice.

Now I couldn't stop there. Next came a set of 5 tags. I used a bunch of tidbits from The Crafty Chronicle. Quotes, images, and goodness abound!!! This first tag is made from the flower images on the first page of Crafty Chronicle and  a good helping of Fairy Dust Glitter. I think it is my favorite...

Now onto the next four. All of these use Antiquities, Spring in Bloom and Crafty Chronicles goodness. Here they are...

Man I love this stuff. It just flows so easily and is truly top notch, when you look at quality. The colors are soft yet grungy, which I happen to LOVE LOVE LOVE, the images are perfect for the fussy cutter in me, and the Glitter is divine!!!

Last, but certainly not least, is my favorite project of all. A 6 x 6 canvas created using bits and pieces from Crafty Chronicle, Antiquities and Spring In Bloom. I also did some stamping with the Fairy Dust Glitter and LOVE the look.

So there you have it. Thank you so so so very much Donna for giving me the opportunity to work with you wonderful paper collections. They are truly stunning!!! If you haven't used Donna Salazar products before, take a leap and try. You will be moved with inspiration I'm  certain.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you all have a very crafty day

Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Untraditional Mother's Day Blog Hop, which begins at the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog. This is my first blog hop as a member of the Sparkle N Sprinkle Design Team and I'm so stinkin excited to be stamping again. This hop is all about celebrating the women in our lives and I hope that you have been following along

There have been so many amazing projects from the SNS design team and I hope that you take a moment to start from the beginning. If you have been following along, you should have hopped here from Eleanor Jenkins blog. This girl sure knows how to make things sparkly and stunning.

Today I've got a little card to share. For this card I've used the Dark Tulip Stamp from Stamp Set 327 . I've used a few different embossing powders for the outline. The first tulip uses Gala Pink and the second uses Indian Spark. Now what is a card without a little glitter right? This card has Neon Flamingo, Carnation , Parisian Mist and Black Ice Glitter as well as the coolest glitter tinsel ever called Moon Rise!!!

The silk had dyed ribbon is China Doll (available at Really Reasonable Ribbon) and I've created a folded pleat for some added dimension. Here is a close up of the details in the stamped image and the beautiful ribbon.

Now it is time to hop on over to Judy's blog to see a wonderful project. Thanks for leaving a comment before hopping along. Make sure you leave a comment at every stop for a chance to win. Good Luck and thank you so much for stopping by today

365 cards sunday sketch challenge

Wow it has been 3 days since I've posted. Eek!!! Unfortunately our little boy was rather fluish. Gotta love clean up duty, when you are a mother. But I wouldn't trade it in. Here is the card for 365 Cards Sunday Sketch challenge. When I saw this sketch one thing and one thing only came to mind. So I went with it. Now I'm showing you that I can be versatile. HONEST!!! Here is the sketch
When I took one first glance at this sketch, all I could see was a piggy snout, so I went with it. I used Glorious Green and Pretty in Pink for the cardstock, as well as kraft that I inked the edges with a few colorbox inks (peppermint and pink). I offset the kraft pieces to give a bit of visual appeal. Then I found a cute little gold rimmed pink button for the nose, cut a couple of Prima flowers for the ears, and drew in the eyes and mouth with black LePlume marker. Adding just a touch of white souffle marker to each. I finished off the project with a pink ribbon and a light green fibre strand. Using my Just right stamp for the very first time to make the sentiment and VOILA! Happy as a pig...

Hope you like the card. I will post the next one in a few.
Happy Crafting
