Unity September Guest Designer Layout and Susan Weckesser Stamps

Hello everyone, I hope that you are all enjoying the first true days of Autumn. The leaves are all changing and the colors outside are stunning. I'm here today sharing a layout I created with some amazing Susan Weckesser stamps from Unity.

For this layout, I used a combination of A Little Bit Washi, ABC 123 Washi, Insta-Cute and a co-branded Simple Stories Set called Splatters and Stars. I embossed all the images using Wow embossing powder and everything came together using Helmar Adhesives. Here are a few close ups of the layout.

Yes, that is a cheese head you see. My husband is a huge Packers fan, and our son thought this "hat" was too fun!!! Don't judge!!!! *snort*

I'm loving how these stamps layer over top of each other and adore how well the Wow Embossing Powder allows me to do this.

And here is the final project, full of Susan Weckesser stampy goodness!!!

If you love creating mixed media projects of any sort, these stamps are AMAZING!!!! Check them out and grab a few of your favorites from the Untiy store. You will be so glad you did. Also, Take a look at Susan Weckessers Design Team call going on right now. Try out and you may have an opportunity to work with Susan and her wonderful designs.

Together with Gemstone Glue and Glitter Papers

I have been reorganizing my scrap studio and in the process, was strumming through my Robins Nest products. I was taking in all the glitter and came across a few other papers that I needed to try out so the reorganizing went on hold for a few hours.

For this layout, I used a combination of Classified, Daisy Stripe Teal and Glitter Silver on Cream Swirl papers. I wasn't sure at first how I was going to incorporate these three, but then my brain started racing and out came the Dylusions Ink Sprays. Matches from heaven above. Let's take a look

First I spritzed the Classified paper with a combination of teal, London blue and lemon zest Dylusions sprays. Once dry, I cut out 5 circles and created this amazing flower. A few mini Dew Drops from the Handsome Boy grouping to finish off the center of the flower all adhered to the button with Helmar Gemstone Glue.

I also punched out a bunch of butterflies from the misted paper. I added a few Silver Dew Drops to the layout to give it that finishing touch

It is no secret that I Love The Robins Nest rub-ons. They are so beautiful and easy to work with. I added a wonderful quote from the Time Rub-on Sheet. Perfect for this layout of my husband and I. (I think this is my favorite photo on us so you may have seen it before hehe)

Here is the finished layout with all of these wonderful The Robins Nest products. The papers are perfect for distressing and the glitter on the card stock is so beautiful!!!

That is it for me today. I do have a question for all of you though, What is your favorite butterfly punch? I think I need a few new ones hehe

Until next time

Momenta Butterfly Garden Layout and Fussy Cutting

Pastels are a huge trend right now. You can see them in Fashion, Home Decor and Paper crafting. When I received my latest design team products from Momenta, The Butterfly Gardens paper stack screamed at me. Well since it is filled with butterflies, maybe it was more like a soft whisper, but you know what I mean lol.

Today I am going to share with you a layout I created using the Butterfly Garden Paper pad, Butterfly Embossed Cardstock messages and Butterfly Mini Puffy Icon Stickers. The combination was perfect for a very girly layout of our little girl in her favorite pink jacket.

I also used a sentiment sticker from the My Style Puffy Stickers sheet to tie in the big fabric flower. Here are a few photos of the layout for you.

I did a lot of fussy cutting with the papers to create embellishments and the flowers and butterflies are great to do this with.

I also added a little Rock Candy Distress Stickles to the pieces I fussy cut, to give them a little blingage.

Here is the complete layout. Everything has been adhered using Helmar Adhesives and I added a little distressing to the edges of the layout.

That is it for me today. I hope you all have a great weekend. Tomorrow, I'm going to select a winner for my small blog candy that I have so if you haven't entered , you can find the post HERE.

Until then

Fabulous News

During this last term with Helmar, we received some of the prettiest papers I'd ever seen. A company called FabScraps from South Africa was now a preferred partner with Helmar and i tell ya, those papers and metal embellishments are truly some of my absolute favorite things to work with to date. So when I heard FabScraps was having a design team call, I had to apply. Here are the 2 projects I created specifically for the call

So you can imagine my excitement when Laura from FabScraps contacted me to say I'd made the team. The roster is super impressive and I've got my work cut out for me to create in the same league as some of these amazing FabScraps Design Team members.

Tomorrow I will have a Guest post on the Quick Quotes blog with a canvas I created using the new Tin Type line. Please stop by and say hi. Until next time

Wow Embossing and Quick Quotes Papers- masculine scrapbook layouts

It is no secret that I love the earth tone collection of embossing powders from Wow Embossing Powders. I think it is the cook in me, with names like nutmeg, pepper and honey, how can you not like them right?

Hello everyone, I'm here today to share with you a scrapbook layout I created using Quick Quotes Tin Type papers and the earth tone collection from Wow (with a little Copper thrown into the mix). I'm so lucky to be a recurring Guest Designer with Quick Quotes and I will have my first project up on the Quick Quotes blog on the 16th of March. So stop by and check it out. (it is a Steampunk Mixed Media canvas)

I used these embossing powders for stamping, masking and to highlight the chipboard alpha letters. First a photo of the letters. I used Bloody Mary Powder Puff ink, then the copper.

For the envelope, I decided to emboss the entire thing. (the envelope was originally white with red polka dots) Then I used the postage stamp from Wow to add a little more interest.

This next photo really shows how well Wow Embossing Powders work with masks. I used the Tim Holtz Timeworks masks to create the background paper.

Now for the final project. Do ya wanna see? are ya sure? Well here it is, a layout all about our sons dreams. He wants to build his own hotel then be the chef in the restaurant. Gotta love dreams!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I have some exciting news to share with you tomorrow morning. It is FAB-U-LOUS!!!

Princess Papers, Pearl Dew Drops and Flowers

My little girl is a huge fan of anything feminine. Pinks, Purples, glitter and jewels, a mini me I suppose. She loves to get dressed up in her many princess costumes and usually smiles ear to ear when she does. This rare photo had me questioning my little princess and I thought it was truly perfect to scrap.

Hey there everyone, I'm here today to share with you a layout I created using some beautiful Princess papers from The Robins Nest. For this layout I used Plum Fleur and Glitter Black and White Border Swirl papers.I painted the Border Swirl papers with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze and Glimmer Mist. The glaze works as a resits which I love. I created a pink peony made from the pink flower pack and added a few of the stickers from the Daughter Sticker pack.

I also added a fussy cut Princess border and a bunch of Champagne Dew Drops to add interest to the distressed layout.

When my daughter saw the layout she turned and hugged me and said "It's beautiful mommy, how did you know I wanted that?" That was enough for me hehe. Here is the entire layout. I hope you enjoy it as much as my daughter and I.

Take a moment and check out the beautiful Fleur and Castle of Santa Maria da Feira collections. Perfect for the princess in all of us. Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope that all of our readers in the Tennessee,Ohio, Kansas, Georgia regions are safe and I hope that all of you are having a great weekend.

Dixie Pieces February Kit- Coloring Book

I love kits!!! The fact that someone else takes the time to make them and select matching goodies is amazing. Especially when you receive a kit that BLOWS YOUR MIND!!!!

Hey everyone, I'm here today to share with you the new Dixie Pieces February kit called Coloring Book. This kit is filled with wonderful black and white prints and a handful of color to give it that extra POP.

I'm absolutely loving the papers from Canvas Corp and Doodlebug Designs. These are such great quality papers and are beautiful to alter with color. Here are my projects I created for this months kit.

This first layout was colored using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and I love that it went from black and white to rainbow. I created the banner from the felt that is included in the Coloring Book Kit.

Next a Black a white layout with a pop of color. I think this is a favorite photo of our daughter. Balloons are really fun aren't they???

How about a little card too? I used some Worn Lipstick distress ink to give this one a little color.

Now I have one more layout as well, but I've got that posted on Dawn's Blog today. She was so sweet to ask me to Guest Blog a while back and I am honored that she asked. It is a little personal, but I speak up about my depression. So make me smile and head over there to see it and leave some love.

Momenta Guest Designer

Sometimes when you get crafting products you are just moved to create. Something goes off in the Mojo part of the brain and you are racing down a path of creativity. This is exactly what happened when I receive my goodies from Momenta to be their October Guest Designer.

Today I've got 6 projects to share with you and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did creating them. I got to work with 2 amazing collections from Momenta, both very different, but super sweet to work with.... and the Stickers!!!! Holy Batman these stickers are a TONNE of fun!!!

First off, 3 projects using the Chloes Garden Collection. Filled with soft tones of pinks, browns, blues and greens. This first card is super sweet  and a little girly with some wonderful ribbon to make it even sweeter. The stickers are puffy and filled with glittery goodness. Perfect for card making and scrapbooking.

Now I used the same Chloes Garden paper pack to create a much more masculine card. I added some Robin's Nest dewdrops using Helmar Gemstone Glue to finish it off.

Next a 12 x 12 layout using the Chloes Garden one last time. These papers were a perfect fit for the cheesy two tooth grin my daughter had in this photo. I did some fussy cutting of the flowers and added some flourishes and butterflies as well.

Here is a close up of the layout for you. I just love the soft palette that Chloes Garden has.

Next are three cards I created using the EYE POPPING Kaleidoscope Paper Pack and matching stickers. This has to be one of the most fun collections I've worked with in a while. So vibrant and cheery and the designs are awesome. The first card has some fun flourish stickers and great little gemstones from Momenta. I think I might have to send it to my girlfriend Jenn. Hope your house gets better soon hun!!!

Then a little more color with a great card using some Spellbinders dies and a few more butterfly punches. So fun!!!

And lastly a sweet card using some border stickers and that great Always sticker sentiment. Isn't this Kaleidoscope Paper Pack with matching stickers amazing??? I think so!!! Very Flower Power for sure

Thank you so so very much Jamie and Everyone at Momenta for giving me the opportunity to work with your products. I absolutely loved creating with them and I know I'll be using more of them in the future.

To see more amazing Momenta projects, make sure to check out the MyMomenta Blog.
