Raise the Bar meets Basic Grey and a Fiery Dragon from About Art Accents

After a few days of wondering what i was going to do with our precious fur baby puck, My sister stepped up to the call and will be giving her a new home. I'm so relieved and the children will still be able to spend time with the little black furball. Isn't it amazing how attached we get to our family pets? I wouldn't change that though. They all have such strong personalities and really bring a joy to a home.

Today is another challenge day at Raise the Bar and this week the challenge is "What a Special Guy". With Father's day this weekend, it is the perfect time to share your masculine cards.

As my DT project I used one of my absolute favorite Dragon stamps from About Art Accents. If you haven't heard of this amazing company, go take a look at the stamps Annette has. She also carries some really cool embellishments and ephemera.

Now the sentiment on this card just cracks me up. I'm not the biggest fan of Ketchup, but if I were a dragon, I think that may change hehe.

Here is the card, filled with Basic Grey Archaic papers, and a little dragon scale action at the bottom. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I'm truly smitten with how the Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive works on metal and ribbon. Those metal sun charms are NOT going anywhere. I think they will last as long as the stories of Dragons have. Gotta love it

A great little card for the man in your life. If you've created a Masculine Card this week, hop on over to Raise the Bar and enter it into this weeks challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope that your weekend is amazing. Don't forget to do something special for that wonderful husband or father in your life

Buzzing by to say Hi

Hello Everyone. It's Tuesday and what a great weekend. I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend and spent time doing the things you love the most. June is finally here and I'm hoping to shop for some bedding plants over the next few weeks.

Today, I've got a bright and cheery card I created for Frantic Stamper. It uses the June Bug Collection from Basic Grey. Talk about bright and happy.

I love the Woolies stickers that a bunch of the Basic Grey collections have these days, Really full of whimsy and they sure do add dimension to your projects.

This one was a simple card to create, and is perfect for so many different occasions. I did some fussy cutting and punching and the end result is super sweet.

Speaking of plants and flowers, what are your favorite flowers to have in your garden and what Zone are ya in?

Hope to see you all back soon. June is going to be full of little surprises here, so make sure you comment often. You just never know what is up my sleeve.

Until next time

Some Crate Paper Goodness

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday. Last month Scrapbook Star had a fantastic kit full of Crate Paper goodness. The Season collection is really sweet and the quality of the paper is beyond amazing. I decided to do a few projects but really want to share one that makes me smile. The sentiment kind of says it all doesn't it?

I am really loving  Basic Grey alpha stickers as of late too. Never thought I'd use alpha stickers on my cards, but it has happened. These ones really make the card pop don't you think?

I took the doily and cut it up to create some great shapes. yup this was one of my favorite kits until this month happened ACKKKKKK!!!! Samantha at Scrapbook Star sure knows how to put together a beautiful Kit. I just did a tutorial over on the Scrapbook Star forum using the April kit and would love for you to stop by.

Origins Friend

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday. My flue bug is gone and I'm feeling much better. Thank you for leaving "get better soon" wishes, I really liked that.
Today I've got a little 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" card to share with you. This Origins line from Basic Grey is quickly becoming one of my favorites ever. I just love the color palette. For this one, I used the Card Patterns Anniversary sketch and I really love the banding. Another NON stamping card for me, just a few rub-ons. The sentiment is made from micro mini letters in the Origins line. LOVE IT

Now on with the show.

That wonderful cardstock the Spellbinders pendant has been punched from,is called Cappucino Mica Metallic.  It is available at Paper Temptress as are the rest of the cardstock in the card.

Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday. I'll be back tomorrow with some more creations. Until then, Happy Crafting

Friends and Card Patterns challenges

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday. Today I've got 2 cards to share with you. This first one was super simple. It is for the Color Create Challenge this week which was all about using green, orange and yellow. I used for this card SU card stock in Really Rust and my new Marrakech papers from Basic Grey. I absolutely love these, with their Moroccan feel. The stamps I used were the Medallion from the Little Yellow Bicycle set that is in my blog candy (make sure you take a look HERE ). The Friends Sentiment was made by using the JustRite Stamp with Times New Roman Font. These Just Rite Stamps are quickly becoming one of my absolute favorite things. To finish off the card, I used a moss green Grosgrain ribbon and that is that!

Now on to the Card Patterns Challenge. Here is the sketch
I decided to do something whimsical for this one. Since St Patty's Day is approaching, that is where the inspiration came from. For the CS, I used a few different shades of green: Glorious Green, Gable Green, and Green Galore. I also used a matte from the All Dressed Up DCWV stack and a metallic green as well.
The sentiment is yet again created by using the JustRite Times New Roman font set on the Harmony II circle. It means May God Bless You in good ole Irish. I Stamped it using a dark green from colorbox, then embossed it with clear detail embossing powder. The shamrocks on the bottom were colored in with a sparkle marker then shimmerz in celery green was used over top. Lastly a few cute buttons were added and some gold coins for luck. My first St Patricks Day card and so different than what I'm used to doing.
I hope you really enjoyed these cards today. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Mojo Monday Challenge

It is so nice to be posting. I certainly don't like when this many days goes by, but hopefully this will be worth the wait. This Mojo Monday Sketch challenge was so much fun and I am glad that i took part in it. So without any more waiting, here is the Mojo Monday Sketch challenge #72 On your mark, get set and go...

And now my take on this great sketch.

I finally used my little stash of Basic Grey Ambrosia Paper. Gosh I love this company. There are some absolutely awesome paper collections. Now to just find a way to buy each and every one. (pondering)

I had gone down to Havre Montana last weekend and they have a Ben Franklins, so I picked up a bunch of ribbon. Now I can see how people get ribbon addiction. So many beautiful colors, textures and designs.

The stamp is the sweet butterfly from the Dreams du Jour Set by SU. I admit I love butterflies and winged things in general. They are just so purdy to create with. I used a little pumpkin shimmerz on this little fella.

Hope you all enjoyed this card. Have a terrific thursday and
