PSA Essentials Cottage Cutz Holiday Hop

Welcome everyone to the PSA Essentials Cottage Cutz Holiday Hop. This hop is filled with great holiday card and project ideas using PSA Essentials goodies and the great dies available from The Scrapping Cottage. If you have been following along you should have hopped here from Kim Moreno's Blog. If not, make your way back to Kay Normans Blog so you don't miss a thing.

Today I have a sweet Christmas ornament to share with you using the Holiday Ornament 3 x 3 die from Cottage Cutz and a stamp from the TreeO Stamp Pack  from PSA Essentials. I cut out the die 8 times and scored them all right down the middle. Then I adhered each half together using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to form the 3D ornament. Finishing it off with an embossing image of the stamp and a little glitter, tulle, and a rose. I hope you like it.

Here is a different photo on a lighter background so you can see the ornament better.

I added a little Maya Road crystal to the bottom for detail and now this ornament is ready for a new Christmas home.

Readers who hop to each of the blogs, comment at each, and are a follower of PSA Stamp Camp will be entered to win the “Holiday Card” prize.  This prize contains 3 Peel & Stick stamp sets, 1 stamper, 1 black ink & 1-2 color ink from PSA Essentials.   The winner will also receive a $50 gift certificate to The Scrapping Cottage for the grand prize.   There are also 9 opportunities to win a 3 x 3 die from The Scrapping Cottage.

Now hop on over to Meylssa Connolley's blog to see what she has in store.

Thanks again for stopping by. I do have another post for today as well featuring Robin's Nest dewdrops.

Until next time

Life is a Song, SING IT!!!

I love great quotes and would adore having a few of them framed and hanging on my walls. This got me thinking and my mojo kicked up a gear. I'm here today to share with you a card I created using the Spooky Iron Shelf and Potion Bottle Mini dies from the Scrapping Cottage.

I wanted to show you today how easy it is to use some of the holiday dies for different occasions. For the Shelf; I embossed it with a wrought iron embossing powder to give it an antique feel. The Potion bottle is colored with a bit of Faber Castell Metallic Pitt Pens. I paired the dies up with some beautiful Websters Pages papers and a stamp from Unity Stamps. To give the bottle a porcelain look, I covered it with Helmar Acid Free Glue. And that beautiful cardstock is the Mountain Rose Glimmer paper from Paper Temptress

This is piece that I came up with. And to think, I used Halloween dies. Whodda Thunk!!!

Hope you enjoy.

Try using holiday dies for other occasions. The possibilities are truly endless. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you all have a fantastic week.

Until next time

Made with Love

There is something so special about gifts made with love. That little extra thought that goes in to make something perfect. The heart that one used to create it and the time that someone selflessly put into it. Yup, I'm a big fan of homemade gifts.

Hi everyone, I'm here today to share with you a card I created using some wonderful papers from My Little Shoebox and the Sewing Notions Die Cut . I added a little pleated ribbon, twine and buttons to finish the card off and I know exactly who I'll be sending this one to.

I'm absolutely adoring that little spool and could a pin cushion get any cuter? I think not. Well, I'm off to do some more creating, so I hope you all have a fantastic Tuesday. Until next time

Hi Everyone, I'm here today to share with you a little card I created using the Game Booth dies from Cottage Cutz. This set of dies is so versatile and today I wanted to show you that you can use the game booth as a frame.

I used Pink Paislee Soiree papers and some Donna Salazar glitter to give this card a real girly feel. Then I added a dash more sparkle with Stickles. If you are looking for a wonderful card stock for your base for cards/scrapbook/paper crafts, check out this amazing card stock from Paper Temptress. It is truly AWESOME.

For the card, I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive with some Zapdots and Premium Craft Glue. Can't make a great project without great glue.

Hope you like it...

BOO!!!!

Have I told any of you before, how much I love Halloween? The ghosts, ghouls and witches. The yummy candy and the Trick o Treating with my little monkeys. Yup I simply adore this holiday and I'm in the "Ghoul"ish frame of mind already.

Today I've got a great little card to share with you using the wonderful Haunted House Border die from Cottage Cutz. The papers are from the  My Little Shoebox Trick or Treat collection and I think those bats are divine hehe.

To give a little dimension to the card, I used Helmar Zapdots and some Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots. The haunted house is cut from Onyx Mica Metallic papers from Paper Temptress. Love working with this luxurious paper. If you haven't tried it before, go take a look. It embosses like a dream!!!

Have you noticed my new blog design? Thanks to Veronica from VK Design Company for doing an amazing job at creating what I had in my mind.

Today, I'm going to do a little blog candy giveaway to one lucky reader. Comment here about what you love about the new design, or what you don't like, and I will draw for some amazing goodies.

Friends

There are "sew" many great products on the market using sewing machines, spools and stitching. From papers to embellishments and everything in between. One of my favorites is the sweet Sewing Machine and Dress Form die from Cottage Cutz. This little 4 x 4 die is perfect for all those crafty friends occasions. The detail is amazing and super fun to embellish just how you see fit.

Hi Everyone, I'm here today to share with you a card I created using the Sewing Machine and Dress Form My Little Shoebox die. I absolutely love the little spools that come with this die and had to add a few extras around the sentiment. I topped it off with a few pearls and some Stickles to give it a little extra OOOMPH. Not that this sweet die needs it. So without further adieu...

A little distressing on the edges of this card go perfectly with the quilt like placement of the My Little Shoebox papers. What do you think? Super sweet right? If you haven't taken a look at the Dies that go with your My Little Shoebox collections, take a look. There are so many beautiful ones to choose from.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Make sure you leave a comment and let me know what you think. I always really appreciate your comments. Until next time

Three Projects to Hop For

It is no secret, that when it comes to Myths and Legends, Miss Erika is a huge fan. Ever since I was young, I thought being a mermaid would be the perfect way to live. Free in the ocean, talking to the animals of the water.I still dream about that once in a while and wanted to share with you today an absolutely beautiful stamp available at I Brake for Stamps.

This is probably to most stunning mermaid stamp I've come across and the image is perfect when you stamp it. For this card, I decided to do a little Copic coloring and some "very fussy cutting" with the Moonlight Mermaid image. I stamped her 3 different times so I could get the splashes and the tail. Adding a splash of glitter to make that water come alive and we've got ourselves a winner I think. Here is the finished card for you. To get a closer look, just click on the photos themselves.

Here is a close up of the Moonlight Mermaid herself.

There are so many wonderful fantasy inspired stamps at the I Brake for Stamps store. So if you like the mythical, the beautiful or the unique, please hop on over and take a peek. While you are there, make sure to use my design team code SAVE10ERIKA to get 10% off your purchase.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. On a side note I have two other posts up today. One you can find at the Basically Bare blog which is a soft layout of my babies, and the other a great Halloween card on the Scrapping Cottage Blog. Make sure you hop on over and say hi.

I hope the rest of your day is simply magical

Mojo Monday, Guest Designer and News

Hi Everyone and welcome to the weekend. Stampede has started here in Calgary and I'm certain that the kidlets and I will be tackling a few pancake breakfasts. Watched a bit of the parade on Friday and the kids really enjoyed that.

Today is a busy day. First off I am the guest designer over at Darkroom Door. 2 days of projects and I'd love for you to check them out. I had such a great time creating with the Darkroom Door stamps, and if you love rubber stamps with beautiful images, take a look at their wonderful selection.

Next up my challenge entry for the newest Mojo Monday challenge. It has been a while since I participated, but the new sketch got my Mojo revving. I used the Soiree collection from Pink Paislee as well as my favorite Helmar adhesives: 450 Quick Dry, Zapdots and Liquid Scrap Dots.

Love the colors and the images in this collection. So fun and vibrant.

Last but not least I have been invited to be a part of the Scrapping Cottage Design Team. I love using dies in my projects and I'm looking forward to sharing those projects with you. To take a look at the new design team, check out the Scrapping Cottage Blog.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend
