This week at the Pink Elephant, the challenge is to use sparkle, bling, shiny papers, or anything that sparkles and say KAPOW!! I decided to take this opportunity to do a wedding card in blacks, shiny creams and gold. I made this card a 6x6 and just think it is a really great wedding card size.
For the card stock I used the new Taste Of Textiles line from SU. The Black Linen and Coated White Pinstripe to be precise. I also found in my scrap drawer a beautiful shiny cream colored CS, that I stamped this stunning dress image from Innovative Stamp Creations.
I then used the Halo embossing powder from sparkle and sprinkles to give the dress a little wow factor. The image was then cut out and placed on a rectangle nestabilities cut out in the Black Linen again. Scallops made from gold oh me oh my, to finish the image off.
Some black sheer ribbon was attached and then I glued on 3 little gold pieces to give it a tad more shine. I have tonnes of these little pieces that my mom gave me from a clothes jewelry stud kit. Tied a pretty bow on this card and she is ready to walk down the aisle.
I hope you love the card. I had fun making it and it brought me back to my own wedding day. Leave a comment and let me know what you think. Until Next time
