Dixie Pieces March Kit- Tangerine Sea

Lately I've been on a big Authentique Papers kick, so when I received my March Kit from Dixie Pieces, to say I was thrilled would be an UNDERSTATEMENT. The new Tangerine Seas kit from Dixie Pieces is filled with the Authentique Papers Gathering collection as well as some beautiful papers from Echo Park.

One of the things I'm loving the most about Dixie Pieces kits are the fibers that are included. This month there is Pink Paislee Mistables trim, lush brown corduroy, and super sweet twine. First off I wanted to share with you a few cards I created using this months Dixie Pieces kit followed by a few layouts.

Next I created these layouts and I'm loving how they turned out. I do so enjoy distressed edges hehe.

Authentique February Sketch Challenge and an Extra Card

I have absolutely fallen head over heels in love with Authentique Papers. The richness, the strength and the color palettes are exactly me. Today I wanted to share with you a layout I created using the Gathering Collection. The rich oranges, teals and browns are beyond fantastic and can be used for both feminine and masculine projects.

I paired the Gathering collection up with my favorite Helmar Adhesives. For dimension I used both Zapdots and Liquid Scrapdots and for the papers themselves, I used Helmar Premium Craft Glue. There is a lot of distressing on the layout and a few Star Trinket pins from Maya Road as well. If you are wondering where to get that amazing copper ribbon, you can get it HERE.

Now I was so inspired, that I thought I'd create a card with this lovely collection as well. I added a Prima twig and a few bobbles including a beautiful Dragonfly from FabScraps.

Vegas Wedding, Helmar and Authentique Papers

I've never been a Mini Album kinda girl. Always thought I didn't have what it took to create them. My brain started working overtime and the ideas started flooding in when I received a few beautiful ones from Basically Bare.

I wanted to create something that would keep some of my wedding memories alive, so I went into uber romance mode and this album was the end result. This book was perfect to hold some of the items that I kept from our Vegas wedding. So here we go....An album all created with a little love from Helmar and Authentique Papers.

First off, filled with the Authentique Papers Collection Uncommon, lace, rhinestones and distress ink. Followed by the pages of the book in order for you to see.
 
page 1- I used Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner for the border strips and Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots for the dimension
 



For the next page, I used a piece of photo wedding negative for the pull. I adhere it together with Helmar 450 Quick Dry and it worked amazingly well!!!


The heart below is a combination of the acrylic Basically Bare heart, a tag, then the chipboard heart for  sturdiness. I added a little Maya Road Velvet flower as well



Our Wedding Vows, plane tickets and our first wedding card from my Father.




And lastly, a favorite love poem of mine to finish off the Wedding Album Mini.I embossed the poem on vellum and used Helmar V2 Vellum Spray. This stuff doesn't show through and really is the best adhesive for Vellum


I'm so glad that I finally created a mini album for our wedding. I love the soft Authentique Papers and the sturdiness that Helmar Adhesives brings to the album. Dancing Ballerina

A little girl has dreams of being so many things. A mermaid, a princess, a ballerina or a bride, each little girl can put on a costume and magically become that dream. Our little girl has many of these magical dreams and when she got her first pair of ballerina slippers, she put them on and started to twirl.

I'm today to share with you a little girls dream and the papers that are preserving that dream. When I received these absolutely stunning papers in my design team both care of Authentique, I think I twirled and danced too. Seeing the magic in each pattern, the beauty in each paper! I knew that this beautiful Uncommon Collection would bring a sweet picture to life.

I used some of my favorite Helmar Adhesives on this layout. The paper was adhered using Helmar Acid Free Glue. Then I used some 450 Quick Dry on the chipboard pieces to really give them hold. The flowers got a little bit of Premium Craft Glue and finally the layout was done.Shall we twirl and take a look?

Aren't those papers simply GORGEOUS!!! I paired them up with some beautiful velvet flowers from Maya Road that were the perfect match.

A little Fab Scraps journal tag was inked up using Worn Lipstick Distress ink and some Fancy Pants alphas to give this dancing layout a title...

It is so important to  live in those magical moments. We as adults often forget the fun we could have if we just put on our dancing shoes and danced.
