Hello everyone and welcome to the Earth Day Blog hop, featuring all the wonderfully talented designers from The Robins Nest. Today you are going to see some amazing projects all about the earth, up cycling and recycling.
If you just stopped in, please hop on back to the Chattering Robins Blog and start from the beginning. If you have been following along, you should have hopped here from Terri Sprouls Blog.
Today I have a plaque to share with you that I was just about to throw out. It was a horrible green color and didn't go anywhere in our home. But when our daughter found out what it said, she asked very nicely if I could "craft it up"!!! How could I refuse.
First off, I started by painting the entire surface with White and Black Gesso. Once dried, I added the beautiful Glitter Black and White Swirl paper as well as the pretty pink Princess Card Stock using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.
After this, I painted the bottom panel with Glimmer Glam and adorned the entire piece with Petunia Dew Drops. I added a few super sweet chipboard pieces and this trash turned to a treasure for our little girl. Recycle or Up Cycle, she absolutely loves it!
Here is a photo of the finished piece. We saved Mother Nature today a little, by recycling something that otherwise would have ended up in the landfill.
Make sure you leave a comment here today because you could win some goodies from The Robins Nest. Now hop on over to Clare Dempsey's Blog, where you will find a beautiful project as always.
The list for the hop order can be found below. Thanks for stopping by today.
Until Next time
