Fearless Friends in Art Guest Blogger Series- Linda Cain

There are so many people that I'm blown away by their talents. One of my very first artists I stalked online, followed was Linda Cain. Her work is simply breathtaking and every time a new post pops up on her blog, I think I may be the first to visit. It humbles me greatly to introduce to you Linda Cain

Hi everyone! I’m so happy to be here and say I am a friend and fellow blogger with the delightful Erika Taylor. I love to dabble in many of the Arts. I use all my training and experiences from them to create different types of projects from Altered Arts, Canvas Collages, to just fun Tags.

So here is a sampling of things I love. Starting with TAGS!

Tags are a great way to get your feet wet in a new type of medium, and this one really started the ball rolling with Stamps, Stencils, and Spray Inks. There is a fun tutorial on my blog to lead you through this little gem.

This can give you the confidence to jump into a Journal page and try your hand with the same products on a larger scale. Journaling opens a whole new door to your creativity. The possibilities are endless!

You can go over the top when creating for CHA and Tim Holtz as this Gypsy Caravan was one of the more fun projects I’ve ever made. It started with just a unique cigar box that opened with 2 little “doors.” After layers of papers, paint, inks, and metal ephemera, it became a little wagon of sorts that reminded me of the traveling doctor in the Wizard of Oz.

All the metal pieces are accented with Alcohol Inks and the wooden pieces add some dimension and color.
So give you creative side of your brain a chance to play and explore. If you have any questions I would love to try to answer them.
Your Friend in ART,
