Save the Date and a little giveaway...

Wedding season is upon us and I so adore the color palettes that are trending for this season. Honeysuckle and Teal with a splash of green is a favorite of mine and today I'm sharing with you a card I created for Sparkle N Sprinkle for May. The Today's Wedding stamp set is so sweet. With it's perfect sentiments and whimsical swirls, I just had to create a Save the Date card. For this card I used the Midnight Madness Embossing Powder as well as the Shell Pink Glitter. I love how these look with the Once upon a Springtime papers from Graphic 45. A few Maya Road stickpins to finish this card and VOILA!!!! A sweet springtime Wedding card.

Aren't those colors perfect for a whimsical wedding? Today I'm doing a little giveaway. Tell me the favorite thing about your wedding to win a few wonderful jars of Sparkle N Sprinkle Glitter.

My favorite moment of our wedding was seeing the love in my husbands eyes as he said his vows. That look melted my heart to the core. I love you sweetheart!!!

  2. Lovely card. My favorite thing at my wedding was my husband holding my arm throughout the ceremony because my bouquet was shaking, I was so nervous.

  3. that's a great save the date card!

My second wedding was a Knight in White Satin theme.. I made my dress... messed up so it was not what i had hoped.. but budget being what it was, i had to make do. I absolutely LOVED the castle we created in the space.... I worked on it night and day... I did a technique with silver foil paper, torn into small pieces and sprayed on blue metallic paint and then quickly wipe off the majority of it... my arm was dead, but the result was wonderful.. Oh the things we are forced to do when the cash flow is limited...that was well over 20 years ago.

  5. Love the card wish I had thought of something like that when I got married 15 years ago. My favorite part of my wedding was the vowsmy husband wrote himself. He is not known as a mushy kind of guy but there wasn't a dry eye in the place when he got through.

  7. i love wedding season!! The favorite thing about my wedding was our first dance. My husband was so happy because it was a song that he grew up with knowing that it would be the song that would be in his wedding and it was. He wouldn't let me go.. and he told me his dream had come true. Amazing moment!

  10. My favorite thing about my wedding (second marriage) was that as soon as we placed the rings on each other my husband and I took my then 7 year-old daughter and placed a beautiful silver locket and chain on her neck. Then the 3 of us stood and held hands until the rest of the ceremony was over. The 3 of us walked down the aisle.

  13. Love the card. My fav thing about my wedding was that I created all the favors. It was a shoreline theme and everything was SHELLS and sea glass. I made shell pins for the men in the party. I made a dome of shells as my bouquet. I made little vine wreaths with more shell for a magnet. I even had a tree of real shell ornamnts. My cake was a wave and the top piece was a crab and a starfish from Annalle dolls. I live on the east coast in RI , the Ocean state. I had almost all the supplies I needed at all the local beaches... ;) Dawn RI

  14. Love the card. My favorite thing was a funny/sad thing. We live in Texas and all of our guests were from Mighican. We had an outdoor wedding and it was 112 degrees that day!!! Everyone still says our marriage was touched by heaven because we had all been thru hell.

  15. Wonderful save the date card. Hmmm one favorite thing.......we got married in a little country church- the priest was there for years- he knew my husbands grandparents, parents, all of the kids, the entire community- it was such an incredible feeling to have such community- family and all of our best friends sharing the intimate moment we shared with our wedding and the mass- it was awesome!

  16. Beautiful Card. I got married in 2007 and I have to say that my favorite part about the whole wedding was the shadow play that my husbands family and friends put together for us about our courtship years. It was hilarious and we both loved every moment of it.

  24. My favorite thing about my wedding was that I didn't have to plan anything. My mom & future hubby planned it all. I just had to show up, which wasn't hard because we got married in my parents living room & I still lived there! It must have worked, we just had our 32nd anniversary.

  26. Lovely card, and I've loved reading everyone's responses so far too: Some amazingly creative weddings there!
My favourite moment was hearing my aunt say "Oh, beautiful" as I started down the aisle feeling very nervous. It gave me such a boost and the rest of the service and the day was just perfect. It will be our 10th anniversary in August and we're still as happy now as then.

  28. What a great card! When I was married, I thought the same thing. Now that I'm divorced, the best thing I can say is that my dog was at the ceremony and she's still by my side today.
