Hi Everyone and happy Tuesday to all of you. Today for the first time in 10 days, our little boy actually feels and looks healthy. Man he has had a rough go the past while. Nice to see he is bouncing back.
A few days ago I did my march 1st tutorial over at Scrapbook Star and I just had to share the card. I love love love how this background turned out and if you'd like to give it a whirl, you can find the tutorial here.
For the background I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (one of my favorite products in my craft space) and they really finish the background beautifully.
Here is the card. A happy birthday to any of you that are celebrating a birthday this month.
Love that color combination too.
Today I'm watching the Design team reveal over at GCD Studios. Man they've got a stellar line up for this term.
Hope you all have a fantastic day today. Let me know what your favorite technique is. I'd love to know.
EDITED TO ADD: I just found out that I am one of the Spotlight girls for the GCD Studios Design Team WAHOOOOOOOOOO!

Gorgeous card! I love making cards, too....my "fave" technique is working with digi images. Love to color - whether it be with my copic markers or my prismacolor pencils. So much fun!

Gorgeous card, Erika! Your background is amazing! I don't know that this is a technique, but I think I'd have to say that my favourite thing to do is intricate cutting with my scissors. I especially love cutting flowers and butterflies out and popping them off the project with dimensionals. I think it gives a nice effect. Funny, I used to hate scissors, now I find them therapeutic! lol :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your little man is feeling better. Big congrats on your spotlight on GCD Studios! Take care! :)
Hugs,
Julie

Wow! What a lovely swirly background - I love it! Especially the bling. Swirls with bling are one of my favorite things! The shimmer in the background just makes the card, and black and turquoise is such a nice combo! great card!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you and what a great technique...thanks so for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a stunning card, I love that background and will definitely be checking out your tutorial asap.
