CPS challenge 105 and Color Create 5 challenge

This weeks CPS challenge was one that I absolutely loved. I paired it up with the color challenge #5 over at Color Create which was blue and brown. This color combo is one that I'm absolutely smitten with. It is so soft and fresh. So without further adieu, here is the CPS challenge I really wanted to do the postage edge, but since I didn't have a punch for that, I went with an edge that was comparable, on my Purple Cows trimmer. Have i ever told any of you how much I love my purple moo cow? Anyways. The papers that I used for the card are from the Bella Blue patterned paper from SU. For the CS I used Chocolate Chip and Bashful Blue. They truly are a great match.
As for the stamps, I used a few from the Little Yellow bicycle set "Elegant". These are a part of my blog candy. so if you haven't entered, please go leave a comment to win these and a few other items. I used two different techniques for the butterflies. The blue one was stamped then clear embossed. on the bottom side I used versamark and then added blue glitter. Sealing it with glossy Accents. Using this really gave me the ability to mold the butterfly. For the other one, I also stamped the image, then used clear embossing power (both were stamped on acetate). Then on the back side I used Alcohol inks in Denim and Ginger with some Copper Krylon marker. Hope you guys don't get sick of butterflies. I'm really taken with them and they bring something to the table inspiration wise. Lastly I used a really cool button which is the shape of a branch. I painted it with December Sky Shimmerz and cinnamon stickles.
I hope you enjoyed the card for these two challenges. It was a lot of fun to make and a whole bunch of smiles to share. Thanks for stopping by and
Happy Crafting!!!
