TAAFOMFT May30th Challenge-Favorite Childhood Toy

Hello everyone and Happy Memorial Day weekend to all of my US friends.

Today TAAFOMFT has a new challenge up. The design team members created layouts based on their "favorite childhood toy" and I decided to do a little spin on it. When I was growing up, there was one thing I always had by my side. I'd sleep with it, have it sit beside me at the dinner table and it would always be waiting for me at the bus stop. And yup that is a little Erika in the one photo hehe.

Deja was my German Shepard and I so loved him. I still think about him almost every day and he truly was my best friend for so many years. He let me dress him up in clothes, he'd crawl up the haystack and slide down with me (although a little reluctant) and he would snuggle with the best furry snuggles ever.

I created this layout using a cheery collection from Nikki Sivils called We Are Family, which I though was a perfect pairing to this project. The papers on the layout were adhered using Helmar Premium Craft Glue with a little help from Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive . I added the embellishments onto the layout using Liquid Scrap Dots (my favorite dimensional adhesive).

You can get the bakers twine from Really Reasonable Ribbon and it is available in a variety of colors for every project.

So how about you take a shot at creating a project about your "Favorite Childhood Toy" and enter the challenge for a chance to win a great little prize. If you enter the challenge and come back here to tell me, I will send out a little package of ribbon to 2 lucky people.

Hope you all have a fantastic day.

Toodles
