The Moments

Happy Thursday Everyone. Today I've got a card to share with you that uses ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and some wonderful stamps from Bombshell Stamps.
I used some of my absolutely favorite paper from 7 Gypsies to create the card.
The flower stamps I used, are from the Butterfly Queen and Cherry Bomb sets. I stamped them with Versamark then used copper embossing powder on them. Finished them up with some white glaze pen to get that little bit of contrast.
The butterfly {which is from the Butterfly Queen set as well}was stamped the same way, but I used white embossing powder instead, then added a little copper Krylon pen for that little sparkle. Then I glossed her up with glossy accents and bent the wings up before it dried completely, so they would dry with a curl to them.

Now for the ribbon. Would you believe that the ribbon is 3/8" white Ric-Rac? I love altering ribbon and trim to fit a project, so this Ric-Rac was painted with Tiger Lily Glimmer Mist, then I added green patina Perfect Pearls to it before it dried. Instant beautification lol. Really Reasonable Ribbon has so many amazing ribbons and trims. I could just spend hours in the shop

Last night was weigh in night at Weight Watchers and I got my 10% keychain. I've lost my first 10% and I love it. That is 23 pounds so far. I've got a long ways to go, but I just KNOW I can do it. What a great feeling to know that I'm getting healthy again.

  4. Beautiful card - and CONGRATULATIONS on the weight loss! As a former WW client, I can tell you the program did wonders for me. I lost 40 pounds in 8 months and reached my goal. That was 8 years ago. I've gained a bit back just recently, but nowhere near what I was.

  5. Beautiful card! Congrats on the weight loss. I know how hard it is. I've lost 32 pounds since mid January but I still have about 15 pounds until I meet my goal weight.
