May Arts Ribbonista HERE I COME!!!!

It has been over a week since I last posted. CHA Summer is all finished and I had such a wonderful time. I always gain such inspiration at CHA and come back home with new goals for myself every time. I'll be sharing those with all of you along the way, but today I've got some "I Think I Just Inked, I'm so Excited" News to share.

Everyone who knows me, knows I love ribbon. The texture it creates on a project or the simple beauty of a bow. This morning I went and checked out the May Arts Blog and what did I see??? Take a look!!!! This girl couldn't be more excited.

Now if you leave a comment here and on the May Arts post, One lucky winner is going to get a Haul of ribbon from me. I've gotta make room for the May Arts goodies. Who doesn't love ribbon right?

Thank you all for your continued support, love and comments. I'm truly blessed to share my passion with each of you.

Imagine a layout Filled with Blog Candy!!!

It has been a whole week since I posted ACK!! It's funny how sometimes time just flies and suddenly it is the beginning of June. JUNE!!!! Only 6 more weeks til CHA,, 1 1/2 till Fathers Day, 4 till school is out for the Summer. This year is speeding on by Ferrari style. I think I need to take some time today to create. There is something so soothing and relaxing about playing with papers, glue and embellishments.

Speaking of playing with papers, I have a layout to share with you today. This layout uses the Rustic Collection from FabScraps. The colors and images on these papers are beyond scrumptious. Teals, greens and browns are perfect for a little boy layout don't ya think? I used a combination of 002, 003, and 004 papers, paired up with some awesome card stock colors from Bazzill (Safari, Hillary, Avalanche and Real Teal). I got out my trusty Prima edger distresser tool and got to work. The flowers are from the Rustic Paper Flower die cut pad and are super easy to create.

The Imagine chipboard piece is also from Fabscraps. I inked it up with some Quick Quotes inks then used Wow Embossing Powder in Clear to give it a glossy look. Love how this title turned out.

Here is the entire layout. I hope you enjoy.

Well that is it for today. I think I'm going to give away a little box of goodies today. Filled with DewDrops, Chipboard and a few Mini Albums. Leave a comment today and I'll select a winner next week. Let your friends know too.

Until next time

The Robin's Nest and Helmar do Valentines Day

Valentines Day is just around the corner and what better way to celebrate than with a little GLITTER!!! Hey there everyone,I'm here today to share with you a Valentines card I created using some amazing papers from The Robins Nest.

For this card I selected Teal Glitter Card Stock, Glitter Cream Animal Print and Red on Red Rope papers. I'm adore the combination of creams, whites, reds and teal here. With that hint of black for contrast. To add a little bling to the card, I used Metallic Red Dew Drops. I love how well the glitter papers adhere together using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. The Dew Drops are adhered using Helmar Gemstone Glue.

I died the bow with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Bahama Blue/Jazz Blue.

And now for the full card. I love how that little Metallic Dew Drop makes the perfect "O".

Perhaps a little unconventional for a Valentines card color wise, but I know that my husband is going to love it.

Thanks so very much for stopping by today. Don't forget, if you are attending CHA this coming week, stop by The Robins Nest at booth #1656 as well as the Helmar Booth #1262 where I'll be for the whole show.

Until next time
