Stained Glass

Today was Earth Day. Did you take part? I did some craft recycling, and cut down some cardboard for making chipboard goodies.

A few days ago, I received a package from Frances over at Hearts in Touch. Some really pretty Asian stamps from a set called Oriental Stained Glass. Well I've never tried the stained glass technique on acetate, so i thought these stamps were a good enough reason to dive in. I really enjoyed coloring on the acetate and it sure did help to emboss the image first. So without another moment to wait, here she is.

I decided to use very muted colors for the card stock, so I could really focus on the Geisha and cherry blossom images. Did a little distressing on the edges of the card and made an embellishment from scrap acetate and a rub-on. I will definitely be getting some more of Frances' stamps. They are great quality and the images stamp really clear.
