May Not so Macho Masculine Blog Hop by Sparkle N Sprinkle

My card today is created using the Motorcycles Stamp Set and some of my favorite glitters. I used Fire Engine Red, Embers, Burnt Orange and Sunset to create my hand drawn flames for the background and I'm beyond stinkin excited about how they turned out. I love drawing but haven't done any for a while, so it was a wonderful treat to try a background technique with my drawing skills.

For the stamped image, I used Black Detail embossing powder so that I could really see and glitter the flames on the bike. If you would like to see a closer view of the card, just click on the image.

Ink Spray and Smash technique with Bombshell Stamps

Hi Everyone. Hope you are having a great start to your week so far. I'm a busy little bee here trying to get all of my projects done for when I'm gone to CHA. Today I've got a great technique to share with you. I first found this at Splitcoast Stampers and just loved the results so I knew I had to give it a go. Here is the card I created using Nick Bantock inks and the Hawaiian Girl Stamp set from Bombshell Stamps.

The beautiful frame around the image is one of my absolute favorite pieces of chipboard from Magistical Memories. It is called Frame Craze and is available at the Magistical Memories store.

Sea you Soon-Bombshell Style

Hi Everyone and Happy Wednesday to you all. Today is weigh in night and I'm doing fairly well so far. I'm down and that is what matters. Today I put a belt on that I haven't worn in ages. I needed it to hold up my jeans lol.

I've got a great little card to share with you today using the Bombshell Stamps set Homeward Bound and some Silver Lustre and Mica Metallics Paper Temptress paper. These two are the perfect combination. I love the glitter and glimmer that happens with this stuff..

For the Silver lustre paper, I used alcohol ink on it to give it an ocean feel. I do like how it turned out. The fish stamp is one of my favorite smaller stamps from Bombshell Stamps and I really wanted to play up the sparkle, so painted them with Shimmerz Paints.

I love how the overall card turned out. The colors are soft and subtle which really lets the sparkle shine through. Say that 5 times fast hehe. Well I'm off. I hope that you all had a great day. "Sea you Soon"

Bombshell METALLIC-ART Blog Hop

 It's the end of the month. Man how March flew by. Today is Bombshell Blog Hop Day and this one is BUSTING at the seams with inspiration. If you didn't start at the beginning, hop on back to Kas' Blog where the fun has all started. If you started at the beginning and have been following along, you popped on over from Steph's Blog . Man i love her work.

The them for March's Bloghop is METAL -
Try using metals in your project : Make something on metal, metal accents, metal embellishments, or even "Metal" music...Your choice just tell us how it fits with the theme. This one made me go directly to my tenSeconds Studio stash. And I reached for one of the most beautiful Bombshell Stamps in my collection. Homeward Bound has so many options and I just love all the small stamps in this set.

I wanted to create something that really showcased the stamp and the metal, so this is what i came up with. I think it is my favorite Bombshell project I've created.

I stamped the image using Staz-On ink to the silver side of the Slate metal sheet. Then took a small tipped stylus from their basic tool set and traced over the entire image. Puffed up the clouds, textured the sails, then added alcohol ink to the entire image after I burnished it with a sanding block. The background is stamped with the compass stamp from the set and heat embossed with Zing pewter embossing powder.

Isn't that just amazing what a great bombshell stamp can do with a little imagination?

A little Easter a lotta Ribbon and a bit of News

Just about friday. We are almost done the week. Do you have any plans for the weekend yet?
Today I have an odd card to share with you all. very different from anything I've put on the blog, but I do kinda like it. The background is made using ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon . Did you know that they have a wonderful ribbon club? It contains a great selection every month and is super inexpensive too.
I think I'm going to redo the sentiment part, but we'll see.

Now on to the news. Man I've been a busy bee lately. It is official, I'm a member of the Frantic Stamper Design Team. This is the first team for Frantic Stamper and I'm super excited to be working with some crazy amazing talent. Come by the Frantic Stamper blog and become a follower would ya?

Starry night

Hi everyone. Today I've got a card to share with you, that I used some pretty cool technique combinations. I'll do my best to explain them, but don't hesitate to ask questions if you need more information. There is a whole lot going on with this card, but I think it still all gels. So here we go. Firstly this amazing background stamp is from Pez-a-doodle and I absolutely love it. It is called the Cobblestone background. The rest of the stamps are Studio G. I really love the fairy collection and can use them with so many different projects. You will notice that the center is made up of 5 pieces. Firstly 2 scalloped squares. Then a really distressed dark blue square with teal border. This dark blue square has a few different techniques on it. Firstly I used emboss resist (the paper was originally teal) then I crumpled the entire piece until the embossing powder started "cracking". Lastly I took Opalite ink and went over the entire piece to give it some "moon glow". A little Tricky but totally worth it.
Now for the cobblestone background, I also used emboss resist, but instead of using regular paper and ink, I used glossy paper and Alcohol ink. To remove the alcohol ink from the embossed image, all you have to do is use the Alcohol Blending solution and it will come right off the embossed part of your image. TRES COOL!!!

Feminine Flair for Card Patterns.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. We are so fortunate and blessed to have my parents out for the weekend. But I did sneak away last night to create a card for you all. This week I've been a little lax, so I apologize for that. It was the last day of preschool for my class this Thursday and saying goodbye to all those precious children was emotional to say the least. But I'm back now and hope you absolutely love this card. I used this weeks Card Patterns sketch challenge and decided to really keep it simple. So here she is.




The swirled background is something I created using a cuttlebug folder, a sanding block, perfect medium pen and some fuschia glitter. It sure packs a punch and I will be doing a tutorial for it soon, so keep your eyes open

CPS Challenge 111

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are having a wonderful Friday.  Don't forget to scroll down and enter the blog candy giveaway. Today I'm going to share with you a card I made for this weeks CPS challenge. I also did the Color Challenge over at Stamp TV with this as well (orange and yellow with red option).  For this card I did a few really cool techniques.

The first being the Emboss resist of those butterflies. I think I'm on a butterfly kick, so bare with me lol.

The card stock for the butterfly image is White PTI. I embossed the images with clear Embossing powder, then went on to make the background paper. Using the Desert Heat Kaleidacolor ink pad I sponged the different colors minus the red all over the image and surrounding card stock. Then I used a background stamp (stamping off once) with Versafine Onyx black ink in a very random pattern. The image was covered in ink, so I rubbed over the image with a paper towel and MAGIC happened. Try this technique, and you will love it. There is a great video tutorial over at Stamp TV.

Then there is this little grungeboard flower that I absolutely love. The grunge is from Tim Holtz Nature series. Firstly I painted the entire flower with Pumpkin Shimmerz and let that dry after 2 coats. Then I used a Unity Stamp from my March KOTM (topiary) to give a design on the flower. Taking an orange and yellow marker, I dabbed randomly over the entire image and sealed it with Glossy Accents and added a wee dot of Black Diamond Stickles to the center. After she dried I was pleasantly WOWED!!!

Mojo Monday #79

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday to you. This week I have done the Mojo Monday Challenge and REALLY love this sketch. I've even put it in my sketch organizer. She is a real beaut, and I hope you take a crack at this sketch too. On with the show... I decided to do a cheery, happy card. I find that I am usually drawn to darker colors for the drama, but wanted to pick something on the brighter side. For the CS I used Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Old Olive and a Turquoise that I had in my scraps. This turquoise has sparkles YEAH!!! I also used a real purdy matte from the DCWV All Dressed Up Stack.
For the background on the Very Vanilla, I thought I would try my hand at making one, so I used a few different stamps. A swirl heart SU background, Flourish from Autumn Leaves, and both Cerulean Azure and Chartreuse Leaf Nick Bantock Inks. Then I colored in the hearts with a black Glaze pen. Quite pretty if I do say so myself. What do you think?
Then the flower image was stamped with Onyx Versafine on the Vanilla and layered on that sparkly Turquoise CS. I finished the card off with a Organza black bow and a Acrylic definition sticker.
