A Vintage Noel Card

What can I say, I'm a Timmy fan and his 12 tags of Christmas always gets my attention. So when that first tag came out, I had the perfect piece of canvas goodness to create it with. Hi everyone, I'm here today to share with you my take on Tag 1 this year.

For this card I used the smallest canvas banner and first sprayed it with Vanilla Breeze Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. Before it was completely dry, I stamped the banner with a postage stamp I have. The ink ran to really give a vintage feel. LOVE IT!!! Pretty Pretty Pretty I say

I love how easy it is to fold and manipulate these canvas pieces. To create the dimension, I used Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots. This helped lift the folds to give them that height I was looking for.

Isn't the color of that banner sweet? Against all that cool winter colors, it really gives the card a POP. Now take a look at those beautiful silver flower embellishments. The so reminded me of pointsettias, so out they came. They are from Creative Charms and went perfectly on this card. In the Antique Flower Medley pack, there are both gold and silver flowers. YUMMO!!!

One more picture hehe, showing the banner and flower a little closer. You can also see the Glimmer Mist on the foliage too.

The perfect additions to any Vintage card I'm positive. These canvas banners and Vintage Flower Medleys are so pretty to work with and I love how the end result always blows my mind.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Let me know what you think. I adore your comments here on the blog, so don't be shy!!!

Helmar Holiday Hop

If you are looking for the PSA Essential/Cottage Cutz Holiday Hop, please visit this post. Thanks.

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yule-tide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos.

Everybody knows a turkey
And some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.

It’s that time of year where we all start thinking of the holidays so what better way to get your Holiday spirit going than a great Helmar Holiday Hop? Filled with so much Holiday cheer and some amazing projects featuring all the different Helmar Adhesives.

Hello everyone and welcome to my stop on the Helmar Holiday Hop. If you have been following along, you should have hopped here from Martha’s blog (I adore Miss Martha). If not, you just have to stop at the Helmar Blog and start from the beginning. There are goodies along the way and we don’t want you to miss a thing.

Today I'm sharing with you a Christmas project that I created using Helmar Gemstone Glue and Helmar V2 Vellum Spray. Both of these adhesives are perfect to use for glitter and today, my project shows you how to layer your glitters to create a FANTASTIC look.

To start off with, I painted the wooden stocking with Gesso for a primer. Then I applied Gemstone Glue with a foam brush to the boot part of the stocking. I sprinkle on red Glitter and when that was dry, I did the same thing to the top trim but used Green Glitter.

After the piece was COMPLETELY dry, I took my V2 Vellum Spray and a great mask from Crafters Workshop. I firmly pressed the mask onto the stocking, sprayed with V2, then removed the mask. I finished off the stocking with Silver glitter and a few wonderful embellishments. Here are a few photos for ya to swoon over...

Here is a close up so you can really see how amazing the Gemstone Glue and V2 Vellum Spray work together to create this layered glitter piece.

To decorate the stocking I used some great metal pieces from FabScraps. I cut the petals of the metal flower and bent them up to give more dimension.

And the tag is from Elle's Studio. I used the same Crafters Workshop mask on it to creat a fluid piece. I'm just smitten with this one!!!

Now wasn't that a TRIP!!??!! Thank you so much for stopping by today. Make sure you leave a comment on every blog along the hop. There are a few prizes out there and I'm offering up a Christmas goodie basket to one lucky commenter. Now head on back to the Helmar Blog to leave your final comment.

They know that Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of toys
And goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is gonna spy
To see if reindeer
Really know how to fly.

And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said
Many times, many ways
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you.
Thanks again

The Robin's Nest

If you are looking for the Cottage Cutz/PSA Essentials Blog Hop, please click here!!!

I love The Robins Nest. The papers are so sweet and those dewdrops... Oh those sweet little pieces of heaven. Today I've got a trio of Christmas ornaments to share with you that I created for the Design Team call with The Robins Nest. I knew that I had to really showcase these little dewdrops and after a successful Spider I created a while back, I thought I would give a few more a try.

To create these little ornaments all you will need is some acetate sheets, Helmar Gemstone Glue, a few silhouette clip art pictures and some Dewdrops.

First take a light colored pen and trace the silhouette onto the acetate by placing the silhouette underneath the acetate paper. Then apply Helmar Gemstone Glue to the image. Place the Dewdrops onto the image using tweezers for control. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy right? Now just finish decorating your little Dewdrop ornaments with some ribbon, glitter and a few more Dewdrops of course hehe. Here they are for you. Aren't they super sweet???

For the first 2, I used the Early Dawn and Metallic Red Dewdrops

For the wreath below, I used the Metallic Red Dewdrops and the Jade Diamond Drops

These are super easy to create and you can do them with any silhouette clip art image. Use them for embellishments, ornaments or just because. I love creating these and I know that I'll be making more of them in the future. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope that you have enjoyed these Christmas Ornaments. Make sure you take a look at all the projects from The Robins Nest on their blog.

PSA Essentials Cottage Cutz Holiday Hop

Welcome everyone to the PSA Essentials Cottage Cutz Holiday Hop. This hop is filled with great holiday card and project ideas using PSA Essentials goodies and the great dies available from The Scrapping Cottage. If you have been following along you should have hopped here from Kim Moreno's Blog. If not, make your way back to Kay Normans Blog so you don't miss a thing.

Today I have a sweet Christmas ornament to share with you using the Holiday Ornament 3 x 3 die from Cottage Cutz and a stamp from the TreeO Stamp Pack  from PSA Essentials. I cut out the die 8 times and scored them all right down the middle. Then I adhered each half together using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to form the 3D ornament. Finishing it off with an embossing image of the stamp and a little glitter, tulle, and a rose. I hope you like it.

Here is a different photo on a lighter background so you can see the ornament better.

I added a little Maya Road crystal to the bottom for detail and now this ornament is ready for a new Christmas home.

Readers who hop to each of the blogs, comment at each, and are a follower of PSA Stamp Camp will be entered to win the “Holiday Card” prize.  This prize contains 3 Peel & Stick stamp sets, 1 stamper, 1 black ink & 1-2 color ink from PSA Essentials.   The winner will also receive a $50 gift certificate to The Scrapping Cottage for the grand prize.   There are also 9 opportunities to win a 3 x 3 die from The Scrapping Cottage.

Now hop on over to Meylssa Connolley's blog to see what she has in store.

Thanks again for stopping by. I do have another post for today as well featuring Robin's Nest dewdrops.
