The mojo has left the building

Hello Everyone. Hope you had a fantastic weekend. My husband kidnapped me this weekend and took me away for a relaxing few days sans children. After getting back I've gotten a wee bit sick, so thought I would share something with you all that I made a little bit ago. Do you find with being under the weather, that your Mojo flies out the window?

Well here it is. I hope you all enjoy.

Horray for About Art Accents

Today is my first day on a new journey with About Art Accents Annette has given me a wonderful opportunity to be on her Design Team and I received my first package of goodies from her last night. Let me tell you all, that these Stamp Plates are ABSOLUTELY TO DIE FOR!!! Great Rubber, deeply etched and the images are truly beautiful. For my first project I just had to do a Fairy card using Plate 145-Fairy Girls III. These images are so whimsical and really gave me some mojo. I decided to use a magical combination when it comes to color, so focused on purples and greens. Out came my watercolor pencils for the very first time, to color this masked beauty. I then used a blender pen to give the coloring a lift. This card was an absolute joy to create and I can't wait to use more of these awesome stamps from Annette. If you love mystical, asian, animal, and great sentiment stamps, Go take a gander over to About Art Accents. Let Annette know that I sent ya.

Card Patterns Challenge

Hi Everyone, Hope you had a fantastic Tuesday. Today is the first day of the new Pez-A-Doodle Design Team, so make sure you go check out their blogs.

I thought I would use some refreshing colors for this card, and one of my growing favorite color combos is turquoise and light green with a hint of black. This card was super simple to create and I hope you take a stab at the sketch too. You can find the sketch at Card Patterns

I tried something a little new to me with this card and I think the technique is called Popping Pastels. It is where you use versamark then chalk the stamped image to give a real soft look. I think I quite like this technique and am going to try it again and again.
