My first color challenge

I just recently signed up at Paper Craft Planet, and I have to say I quite like their site. This week they had a color challenge so I put on the flippers and jumped right in.

You had to use the following colors: Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Breeze, Very Vanilla and Regal Rose. I thought an odd combination, but if you don't try something you will never know right?

So here it is...

This is such a pretty stamp from non Sequitur stamps, and I stamped it on all three layers. Then using the nestibilities in regular and scalloped rectangle, I cut out the images and using dimensional tape, stacked them up.

Here comes that Shimmerz again. This time I used the pink poinsettia and the cocoa for the boat

Finishing off with 2 primas that I also stamped with the stamp used for the image. Put a few pearls on, distressed the edge of the card ever so gently and Alakazam!!! A color challenge card was born

Hoped you liked this card and

Live Life

Well it has been a few days since I have posted a card, so thought I should get my camera out and take a picture or two of what I just finished creating.

I am really happy how the shimmerz turned out.

I used bazzill card stock in what I think was called passion pink (don't quote me on that) The red paper is from the Stampin' Up Bella Rose collection, and the beautiful stamp is a Time to Stamp called La Femme Hearts. (Integrity Design sells a bunch of La Femme stamps if you are interested in them)

For the red heart and purple jewel hair wreath, I used Le Plume Markers(red and purple)but for the hearts I just outlined them then took a stab at the blender pen. They are quite purdy don't ya think!?! For the purple jewel, I used a galaxy marker in dark purple, then a wee spot of shimmerz in buttercream to give it the sparkle a jewel deserves.

Lastly, I stamped the image again on pink piroette SU cardstock and cut them out, mounted them with dimensional foam, added a sweet phrase over a beautiful black felt border, and said "it's a wrap".

Hope you all have a great day and

Just a little news

I am diligently working on a few different projects right now and will be posting one of them this evening.

On a completely different path, I have just sent in my applications for 2 design teams. Gutsy I know, considering that I have only been crafting for such a short time. But you never know unless you try and I am the type of person who loves to at least try. The worst that could happen... They chose someone that I will gain inspiration from. The best, i am chosen to give inspiration to others. I will keep you posted. Now back to creating.

Card Positioning Systems Anniversary Sketch

Hope you are all having a really great Monday. I am going to tell you about another sketch site that i think absolutely ROCKS!!! Card Positioning Systems has so many great sketches, design team members and a tonne of prizes and blog candy. Kicking off their 100th sketch, they are giving some great Gina K stuff away to a lucky winner. So I'm jumping on board. There is that saying, "if you don't buy a ticket, you can't win the lottery"

Here is the 100th Sketch

And My spin on it!!

I used the Large scallop and oval nestabilities, and the more I use these, the more I love them. The butterfly stamp is a SU, the two flowers are from the natures beauty set fro Innovative Stamp Creations. I used a flourish from Autumn Leaves Flourish v2. As for the paper, it was mostly scraps with the exception of the CS which is SU Cocoa

Here I go with the Shimmerz again. I painted the butterfly with coffee, coal and bubblegum. And here is my first attempt at using Stickles.

Hope you like the card and
